Career Fair

Employment Opportunities

Services at the Career Fair will be available through CAA’s state-of-the-art Online Career Center. Using the Online Career Center at the Annual Conference, job seekers will be able to search all position listings, post résumés, request e-mail alerts, and much more. A helpful Career Fair icon will identify those positions that are posted for interviews at the conference. Just look for the Career Fair icon next to the position listing. Employers will be able to post new jobs, update current listings, add or delete the Career Fair icon, receive applications, and contact applicants onsite. A CAA User I.D. and password are required for access to the Online Career Center.

Candidate Center

Candidates seeking information on jobs should come to the Candidate Center to use the Online Career Center. Computers will be available for you to search up-to-the-minute Career Fair job listings, post résumés, apply for positions, request interviews, and receive Career Fair-specific messages from employers. Onsite interviewers may mark their job listings with the Career Fair icon . For access to the Online Career Center, you must be a paid CAA individual member. To use this service, you will need your CAA User I.D. and password. Save time and join, rejoin, or renew your membership now! A Conference registration badge is neither required nor accepted for admission to the Candidates Center. Job seekers who wish to enter the Interviewer Tables must show a valid CAA Individual Member I.D. card.

Access to computers at the Candidate Center will be timed, monitored, and available on a first-come, first-served basis. You may wish to bring your laptop to the Conference instead. Wi-Fi hot spots will be available in the Conference hotels at a cost of around $10. Please check with the Concierge located in the lobby of your hotel.

Interviewer Center

Interviewers must check in at the Interviewer Center on arrival to receive a 2006 CAA Interviewer I.D. Card, which is required for access to the Interviewer Tables. Interviewers may also use the Online Career Center in the Interviewer Center to post last-minute listings, update current listings, search and view résumés, communicate with job seekers, schedule interviews, and rent tables. At the Interviewer Center, you may mark new or existing positions with the Career Fair icon to let candidates know you will be interviewing onsite. Computers will be available (on a first-come, first-served timed basis) at the Center. You may also wish to bring your laptop to the Conference. Wi-Fi hot spots will be available.

It is highly recommended that interviewers post jobs and rent tables in advance of the Conference; inteviewers can do so by clicking here (CAA members login required). If you are not a member of CAA, please call 212-691-1051 ext. 223.

Message Center

The Message Center is where interviewers may leave messages for candidates, and where candidates may pick up messages. For admission to the Message Center, interviewers must show their interviewer identification card, and candidates must show their valid CAA Individual Member ID card. A Conference registration badge is neither required nor accepted for admission to the Message Center.

Interviewer Tables

Exhibition Hall B, Hynes Convention Center
Wed 9:00 am–7:00 pm; Thurs 9:00 am–7:00 pm; Fri 9:00 am–7:00 pm; Sat 9:00 am–noon
Interviewer tables will be available for interviewing prospective candidates for positions in the visual arts, art history, art education, art museums, and cultural organizations.

Advance Rental
To reserve a table in advance and to find out about rates please visit the Online Career Center by clicking here (CAA members login required). If you are not a member of CAA, please call 212-691-1051 ext. 223.
Deadline for advance rental of a table is February 16, 2006.

Onsite Rental with Full Payment

To rent tables at the Conference please see CAA staff at the Interviewer Center. Onsite rentals are subject to availability and must be paid in full at the Conference. Payment methods accepted: MasterCard, Visa, Discover, or American Express.

If you must cancel a table, please do so before February 6, 2006. There will be no refunds after this deadline.
