SESSION CHAIRS & SPEAKERS
Speakers and Discussants for 2½-Hour Committee-Vetted Sessions
Do I need to be a CAA member to speak at the conference?
Yes. CAA individual membership is required of all participants in 2½-hour committee-vetted sessions. For membership information, please call 212-691-1051, ext. 12, or visit www.collegeart.org/membership.
As a speaker, do I need to register for the conference ?
No. You are not required to register to speak at your session. However, you are not able to attend other sessions at the conference. Only conference registrants receive badges and conference publications.
I would like to bring my session paper on a memory stick. Are computers provided by CAA?
No. CAA does NOT supply computers. You must bring your own laptop or find a fellow presenter with whom you can share. If you plan to use a Mac, you must bring your own connection cord.
Is there an internet connection in my session room?
Regretfully, the cost of providing internet access in meeting rooms is prohibitive and therefore not possible.
I would like to use PowerPoint instead of showing slides. Is my session room equipped with a digital projector?
All session rooms are equipped with digital projectors. If you plan to use a Mac, you must bring your own connection cord. If you do not have one, you must inform your chair which type of Mac you are using, so that we might provide you with one.
Are extra slide carousels available?
Yes. You may check out carousels from the Speaker Ready Room, located in the Press Club Room on the second floor of the Adam’s Mark Hotel. Hours are: Wednesday and Saturday: 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM; 1:30 to 6:00 PM; Thursday and Friday: 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM; 1:30 to 7:30 PM.
Can I send my Audio Consent Form directly to CAA?
No. Individual forms are not accepted from individual speakers. Please turn in all forms for your session to your chair.
Can I print my session paper at the conference?
You may want to print your paper before leaving for the conference. There is no opportunity to do so onsite, free of cost.
