Paper marbling is a method of making a design on a water surface which can produce patterns similar to smooth marble or other stone. The patterns are the result of paint floated on either plain water or a viscous solution, and then carefully transferred to an absorbent paper.

MIT Press: ARTMargins, Journal Launch

The MIT Press announces the launch of its newest journal, ARTMargins. The publication will foster awareness and conversation about contemporary art in Eastern Europe within a global perspective. ARTMargins’s focus is art and curatorial practice from Eastern Europe in the context of an expanded global margin that includes Eurasia, North Africa, the Middle East, Latin America, and Central Asia.
