New Media and the revival of Traditional Media

This session will examine how new media have affected traditional practices by comparing what an independent retail seller of art materials must now face (such as selling digital image generating methods, new synthetic surfaces for painting, and spray paints) with the sale of traditional materials like oil paints and encaustics. The session will provide information that can enhance curriculum, and present technical information from professionals in the field.
