Mock Interviews

Back by popular demand! In a competitive job market, everyone could use the opportunity to get feedback on interviewing and presentation. Take advantage of this opportunity to have a twenty minute interview followed by ten minutes of feedback from a seasoned professional. To preregister, please email or mail the completed version of this form to Jennifer Stoneking-Stewart (School of Art, The University of Tennessee, 213 Art and Architecture Building, Knoxville, TN 37996-2410) by February 1, 2012. You may enroll in one twenty-minute one-on-one session. Slots for mock-interviews will be filled as enrollment forms are received. Completion of the enrollment form will not guarantee a spot. You will be notified of your appointment date and time by email.

If you do not receive a spot, you can sign-up on site for limited open-enrollment spots for Thursday, February 23 between 4:00-6:00 PM. Sign-ups will be in the Student and Emerging Professionals Lounge starting the afternoon of Wednesday, February 22, 2012 until all slots are full.

Please remember to bring your application packet, including cover letter, CV, and other information related to jobs in your field. The Student and Emerging Professionals Committee will make every effort to accommodate all applicants; however, space is limited.

An insider perspective on galleries! Gallery owner Thomas Solomon of Thomas Solomon Gallery in San Francisco will take an hour to discuss how galleries work with artists and how artists should present themselves.
